It’s difficult to name the most exciting aspect about traveling to a tropical paradise like Villa Rosa. The spirit of friendliness and family in the air is certainly a guest favourite. Others say that the luxury of the villa itself is what keeps them coming back. But for many folks, the greatest thing about a Jamaican holiday is, hands down, the food. Jamaica has a long, rich culinary tradition of serving delicious and unique foods. The signature dishes and specialty flavours of the island have awed travellers from far and wide.
Custom Menu Creation
When you arrive at Villa Rosa, shortly after you settle in, unpack, and relax, our amazing staff will meet with you to go over your custom menu and food preferences for the the duration of your stay with us. Anything you can imagine is on the menu – all you have to do is request it. Your food will be picked up fresh from the local markets by the kitchen staff.
A World-Class Culinary Experience
Villa Rosa is proud to have Chef Mark at the helm of the kitchen. If you want it, he can prepare it. If there are any special dietary needs that need to be considered, from allergies to religious restrictions or even just personal preferences, the staff will relay this to the chef so that everything will be as perfect at mealtime as it is for the rest of your stay.
Our kitchen is state of the art and modern and contains within it everything to prepare a 5-star meal to your exact specifications. Whether you prefer more traditional fare or you are dying to try all the wonderful and exotic foods from Jamaica, Chef Mark and the kitchen staff have you covered.
Local Jamaica Fare
If you want to get out into the city to try some local dining spots, that can also be arranged. From simple street fare and outdoor jerk restaurants to high-end dining on the MoBay hip strip, there is something for everyone.
And if you happen to find yourself planning a trip to Villa Rosa in late October, you might just have the time of your life at the Jamaica Food and Drink Festival. This annual event takes place the last week in October and features over 50 chefs, 7 different venues and live music and entertainment.
So what are you waiting for? Come take a bite out of Jamaica!
